Buehler Sylvia, Artist - Sylvia Buehler is known over national border for her distinctive portrayal of the Appenzell landscape and its tradition. The artist’s painting is harmonious, a sort of explosive joy of colors that easily and skillfully finds itself in the traditional as well as landscape and animal paintings. Soft shades of color, combined with unusual coloring in some landscape paintings, trigger the viewer’s emotions and let him persist. The distinctive singleness of Sylvia Buehler’s paintings is achieved partly through a technique discovered by her in which she uses acrylic ribbons and ornaments to impart another optical layer to the viewer. The artist has never attended any school of arts. Nor has she ever been a pupil of a renowned art master. Autodidactic and with lots of talent, she realizes her works of art. And maybe this is what makes her paintings so successful. In 1998, Sylvia Buehler painted four of the famous cows of Zurich. She also participated in the «BankArt» in 2001. Sinc 2006 a member Kunst-Forum-International Her innovative works of art and ideas are in great demand among well-known domestic and international companies such as Rhomberg Jewelry Inc., ARNI Biscuits, Inducs Inc., Concapt Systems, Cabana Loppacher Inc. Experimental ART - I create acrylic paintings of varying sizes, colours, textures and materials. What is consistent in my painting is that in each artwork I experiment with colour, material and motion. The images and colours are derived from my soul and are inspired by everything I have encountered: from work of the modern American, Russian and European art masters, to the celestial and terrestrial forms around me, to cultures of the exotic lands I have visited. My style involves contrasting aspects of the simplicity of daily life to the complex elements of international affairs. I break the emotions arising from the events down into a dynamic mix of colour and motion. For me, the act of painting is similar to having a dream; the images I create have many interpretations yet are universal in scope. Hopefully my paintings convey a felt perception of life, an awareness of the history of art, and a clear expression of my passion.
